How did you both meet and when/where did the proposal happen?

Judge and I met when we were 15. We went to the same high school in College Station but didn’t actually become friends until after we graduated. He was originally one of my little sisters best friends. We started dating 2 months before we turned 19 and have been together ever since!
Judge proposed to me on November 21, 2021, at the Buffalo Bayou Park. My best friend lives right next to it and she tricked me into helping her get headshots before we went to dinner. When we were walking up to the park I remember being so oblivious because my shoes were hurting. And low and behold there’s Judge waiting for me!

Why did you choose the Inn at Quarry Ridge?

We chose the Inn because we wanted a venue in our hometown that was convenient for us and our guests. We loved the look of the venue and how separate it was from everything.

What was your vision/style for the wedding?

Our vision was timeless with pops of color from the florals. Our wedding colors were ivory, sage and gold with pops of coral, pink and reds from the florals.

Tell us about your wedding ceremony!

We wanted to keep our ceremony pretty short. We were more about the party! Judge and I have been together for about 9 years...at this point we felt almost married. We exchanged private vows because we both agreed it was a moment for us alone. Our officiant Candi gave a beautiful speech and we were done in 20 minutes.

Tell us about your wedding reception!

The reception was so so fun!! Our coordinators Reagan and Hailey were on top of it. We both got to party and enjoy being with our guests the whole night. My dad surprised me with our dance as we hadn't picked those songs prior. It was a perfect outdoor/indoor situation for everyone. We loved the party lights and club music going.

What advice do you have for brides planning their wedding?

My biggest advice is relax. I know its cliche but I PROMISE when the day comes you won’t care if the napkins are perfectly folded or that your decorations are not in the exact spots you want. Soak it all up because it goes by fast. Enjoy this moment and experience yourself leaving your past life for a new journey.
