Trevor & Paige’s Americana Country Wedding
How They Met
Paige downloaded a dating app back in 2015 and set up a profile. Trevor was the first person she matched with and they messaged each other for a few weeks. Paige ended up wanting to delete the app but decided to wait for Trevor to respond to a previous message so she could give him her number. Trevor didn't reply for a few days so she gave up and deleted the app. Paige forgot all about him and their conversation.
About a year after Paige deleted the app, she received a friend request on Facebook from a guy who had mutual friends so she accepted the request. Afterwards though, Paige received a message from the person saying "I finally found you! How have you been?" Which she thought was creepy. So she just responded with "Um do I know you?" He said "We met on that app, but I guess you deleted it. I guess you don't remember me so I'll just go stick my head in the sand." Paige never responded and forgot about the conversation and guy for another year and a half.
One day Paige was scrolling on Facebook and she saw a picture of this really cute guy that somehow she was friends with. She spent two weeks trying to figure out how she knew Trevor and how to initiate conversation. Paige finally got the courage to message him on Facebook and the conversation from a year ago popped up. At this point, Paige had already committed to messaging this guy so she sent "Hey sorry just saw this, how have you been?" half expecting him to say something rude back...but he didn't. He ended up giving her his number and they planned on meeting at Yesterdays Bar and Grill. Paige had second thoughts about going plus ended up getting off of work late. She told him that it would have to be later than planned, half expecting him to say nevermind to the date. Surprisingly he was fine with waiting for her. Paige told her work friends where she was going, and told them that if she texted them SOS to please call so she could have an excuse to leave, which she never ended up needing. Finally, Paige met Trevor on January 12th of 2019. They talked all evening and after the bar closed at 2 in the morning they stayed by her truck talking in the parking lot for about an hour. At the end of the night, Trevor took her favorite hat that she was wearing and told her she could get it back the next day when they go on their second date.
The Proposal
On June 26th of 2022 Trevor and Paige went to her parents house at their farm to have lunch. It was the Sunday before Paige’s birthday. About 6 months prier, Trevor randomly asked Paige what kind of rings she liked, but never mentioned anything after that. Then a few months later they were getting their cabinets redone and Paige was looking in Trevor’s wallet for the business card the cabinet company gave him, but found a Montelongos card instead. She put it back in a hurry and called her sister. Paige asked her if she knew anything about Trevor possibly proposing. Her sister just nonchalantly said "Well that was probably something for his mom, besides he hasn't even asked dad yet for permission." So Paige dropped it.
On the day after the family lunch, Paige’s brother and sister in law were about to leave and Trevor asked if Paige wanted to open her birthday present early. She said okay so Trevor gave her a bag with oven mitts inside. This was a great gift because Paige loves to cook but often burns herself. Then Trevor said he got her something else, but it's a big present and he didn't want to carry it all the way to the house so she'd have to go outside to open it. He went outside to get the "present" ready and Paige’s mom, sister and herself were trying to guess what it was. Paige seriously thought it was a TV or something.
After a few minutes her sister in law came inside and told Paige that Trevor was ready. Paige asked her what it was because she doesn't like surprises. They went outside where Trevor and Paige’s brother were. Trevor told her to turn around so he could get the present out, then said to turn back around so she could see the present. When she turned around, he was on one knee and said "I got you me, forever" and pulled out the most beautiful ring. Paige said “It was perfect. I've always wanted it to happen on my parent's land and with my family all there and that's what happened.”
The Ceremony
It was a beautiful day so Trevor and Paige were able to have their ceremony at the waterside gazebo, which was a breathtaking experience for their guests. It was so special for the couple to have their family and close friends up there with them for the big day. The couple planned a moody Americana/country themed wedding. The colors were burgundy, deep red and marine blue, with gold as an accent metal.
The Reception
“It was so much fun! The coordinators and staff took the vision I had with my decor and everything turned out better than I could have imagined! Plus everybody loved the outdoor area as well, especially the fire pit!”
Why The Inn
“The Inn at Quarry Ridge provides so much and you can't beat the price. The venue is breathtaking. I'm still receiving compliments on how beautiful it was from our guests. We purchased the Marble Package and I am so glad we did. We were able to have our rehearsal on site the evening before and being able to stay at the venue with the wedding party was a huge plus! Day of Coordinators were included in the package as well. I can't thank them enough for all they did to make the day run smoothly along with them just being there for me the last two weeks and answering any questions I had. The staff were also extremely helpful and friendly as well. We felt so welcome the entire time we were there. I am so happy we chose the Inn at Quarry Ridge. Truly my dream wedding come true!”
Advice From the Bride
“Don't try to do it all yourself. Believe me, I tried for the longest and it got so overwhelming. It's okay to ask your loved ones for help. Also it might be a good idea to add nail glue to your emergency kit list (the one thing I forgot to add and ended up needing).”
Favorite Moment
“This is a hard question. I loved everything about our wedding day, but my favorite moment was our private last dance before the grand exit. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but just slow dancing in the arms of the person I get to spend the rest of my life just the two of us was such a special ending to the perfect day.”
