Tenyta & Stephen Graham: A Non-Traditional Boho Wedding at The Inn at Quarry Ridge

Newly married couple pose at the Inn at Quarry Ridge wedding venue

How They Met & The Proposal

Tenyta and Stephen’s story began back in 2003 during their second semester at Fayetteville State University. The two first met in the Student Center, where a simple campus encounter turned into a connection that would stand the test of time. Years later, Stephen planned an intimate and heartfelt proposal at home. After celebrating Tenyta’s birthday dinner and watching her finish opening her gifts, Stephen asked her to marry him, creating a beautiful, private moment that perfectly reflected their relationship.

The Vision

The vision for Tenyta and Stephen’s wedding was boho chic, non-traditional, and full of rich, earthy tones. Their color palette included black, hunter green, burnt orange, off-white, and burgundy, accented with touches of gold. The overall look was warm, stylish, and expressive, perfectly capturing their personalities and love story.

Why The Inn at Quarry Ridge

The Inn at Quarry Ridge checked every box for Tenyta and Stephen. They loved that the venue truly had everything, from on-site coordinators to setup and breakdown included. The Marble package was a major highlight, allowing up to 25 guests to stay on-site, access to a curated décor catalog, and seamless coordination throughout the day. The final “icing on the cake” was the venue itself, beautiful, elegant, and the perfect backdrop for timeless wedding photos.

The Wedding Ceremony

From start to finish, the ceremony was nothing short of amazing. Starting on time was a top priority for the couple, and Ben and Alex ensured everything ran smoothly, stayed organized, and reflected exactly what Tenyta and Stephen envisioned. The ceremony was beautifully executed and deeply meaningful, setting the tone for the rest of the day.

The Wedding Reception

The reception flowed effortlessly and was full of joy. The dance floor stayed lively, whether it was guests dancing or the children stealing the show! Surrounded by good people, great energy, and delicious food (a special shoutout to Kelz Kitchen from Spring, Texas), the evening was fun, relaxed, and full of celebration.

Advice From the Bride

“Set your boundaries and stick to them!” Tenyta shares. She encourages brides not to let anyone steal their joy on such a special day. It’s about you and your future husband, stand firm in your decisions. Having a trusted tribe around you to handle any unexpected issues makes all the difference, keeping you calm and focused on what truly matters.

Favorite Moment

There were so many, from seeing my boys all dressed to the "T," to my momma/Kerry/tribe helping me get dressed, to my husband who kept trying to sneak in and see me, to my "first look" with my daddy, to me wiping tears from my husband's eyes while I said my vows to him, to us clowning while taking our photos. The whole day was Amazing!!
