Chancey & Nathan’s Modern Minimalist Wedding at the Inn at Quarry Ridge in Bryan, TX
Chancey & Nathan’s Real Wedding Story started with a simple Facebook message that said “Merry Christmas ya filthy animal.” That then snow balled into an ongoing conversation leading to a beautiful relationship.
HOW THEY MET
Chancey & Nathan met in the summer of 2014 at Camp Cho-Yeh. They were friends all through the summer, but then summer ended and autumn came and went. Life continued on normally and we didn’t hear much from each other until December 25th that year, when the message that helped to solidify their relationship casually slid into Nathan’s facebook inbox…”Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal.”
Those five words were to begin the first of an innumerable amount of messages, videos, pictures, snail mail, Snapchats, calls and texts that they sent to each other. Nathan nonchalantly (or so he believed) sent Chancey his phone number in one of the first messages, and the rest is history.
THE PROPOSAL
They dated for 3 years after their first date, and in the summer of 2018 Nathan sneakily was able to meet with her parents while Chancey was working at camp. Her parents were thrilled to give their blessing when Nathan asked for her hand in marriage!
He got her a ring in August, thinking he would wait until October to propose as it is their favorite month. But once he had the ring in his possession he just couldn’t keep it to himself!
With the help of his brother, he was able to build a gorgeous archway underneath a 150-year-old oak tree at their home in Conroe. The archway was adorned with lights twinkling in the dark and hanging plants. She said yes as he kneeled to ask her that September night.
THE WEDDING
Nathan worked at the Inn at Quarry Ridge in College and had his mind set on getting Married there.
“It is an absolutely gorgeous venue and Larry and Sue were so kind and generous, we had no qualms or complaints!” -Chancey
Their vision for their Dream Wedding was Minimalst and Modern. With Burgundy, Black and Forest Green as their Colors.
At their Wedding Ceremony they declared their love for each other, and their decision to always choose each other in good times and bad. After the Ceremony they enjoyed their Reception eating good food, and dancing their hearts out! They brought in a few vines and arrangements but felt that Stonehem is beautiful on its own and didn’t need much.
THE PACKAGE
Chancey & Nathan chose the Marble Package.
They were able to enjoy the morning of their Wedding in a laid back and relaxed environment knowing everyone and everything they needed for the day was taken care of and already there.
