How They Met

Nick and Ashley’s Real Wedding Story started where many love stories do; with music. Ashley and all of her friends were at a concert having a great time, when a disrespectful guy started to bother them. Out of nowhere, like any gentleman would, Nick jumped in to save the day, and spent the entire rest of the night making sure that they were all okay.

The Proposal

After a few years of dating, Nick knew that Ashley was unlike any woman that he had ever met. January 6th, on that cool morning in Vail Colorado, one of Ashley’s most treasured places, he had decided to seal the deal. They were walking around the city, going from shop to shop, when Nick made the move and got down on one knee. They stopped walking and he acted like he was just taking a picture, but it didn’t take Ashley long to realize what was really happening. He pulled out that ring box, but didn’t open it. He forgot the ring in Texas! Needless to say, he had planned the whole trip around the proposal, and couldn’t stop now, either way, they were both so in love and she said yes!

The Wedding

They chose the Inn at Quarry Ridge because, “It included everything and more we could have hoped for in a venue.” The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous! The sky was blue, and the sun was beaming, but the shining sun couldn’t compare to the light that Ashley’s beauty brought to us. The only thing that compared to Ashley’s beauty, was the smile that it brought to Nick’s face as her father walked her down the aisle. Nicks family pastor read letters that they had written to each other, and they illustrated their vows with a sand ceremony that didn’t go as planned, which made it so much more like their relationship. Once everything was said and done, it was like a breath of fresh air.

The wedding reception was just as fast and fun as everyone always says that it is. From breaking it down on the dance floor, to snapping pictures in the photo booth, although that was fun the best part was fellow-shipping with those that have and always will mean the most.

Advice From the Bride to Future Brides

– “Take everything in and don’t stress about the little details because it truly goes by so incredibly fast.”

– “Having a coordinator was so helpful and I recommend having one to help with things you would never think of!”

– “Make sure to take a day or two off work beforehand to make sure you have everything you need for the day/night of the wedding.”

The Package

Nick and Ashley went with the Marble Package, and that gave them access to the entire weekend to celebrate with the people they really care about that they don’t get to see very often. Also, having the option to stay overnight the entire weekend took off a lot of stress and helped them relax the whole time!
