Trevor & Michaela’s Spring Inspired Wedding

How did you both meet and when/where did the proposal happen?

We met as freshman in college at Texas A&M. We were neighbors in our dorm and started out as good friends. One weekend we were visiting Trevor’s hometown of Lexington, Tx. It was so sweet, he proposed to me at his great grandmothers farm on top of his favorite hill.

Why did you choose the Inn at Quarry Ridge?

I visited Inn at Quarry Ridge for an event with my college sorority. I knew from the moment I arrived that I wanted to get married there one day. Four years later, my dream came true!

Tell us about your wedding ceremony!

We wanted our ceremony to be short and sweet, but with some personal touches. Our officient did such a wonderful job, I was told there wasn't a dry eye. The venue coordinators and our florist did such a good job making my vision come to life with our flowers and candles lining the isle. My vision for our wedding day was light and airy with a lot of neutral/whimsical florals. It was very spring inspired.

Tell us about your wedding reception!

Our reception was full of dancing, drinks, and good energy! I remmeber being blown away when I walked in for the first time and saw our head table, the cake table, and our memory table all decorated. It turned out more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. My favorite part of the reception was definitely the Grand March.

What advice do you have for brides planning their wedding?

When you are approaching the big day, make sure to take time and soak it all in becuase once it is over, its over! It goes by so fast, so just remember to take a deep breath and enjoy every part. No one will notice the small things that might go wrong, even though they may seem like a big deal to you.

What was your favorite moment of the wedding day?

My favorite moment was when we were standing at the alter during our ceremony and I turned around to look at all of our guests and soak it in. It made me so happy to see everyone's faces and I think it was also calming to look out in the sea of people and see your loved ones and close friends.
