Holden & Taylor Celebrate I DO with Family & Friends

How They Met & The Proposal

Holden and Taylor met the modern way, by him direct messaging her on Instagram. Surprisingly, without hesitation she said yes to a date with, in Taylor’s words, “some bald guy driving a Toyota.” Bloody Marys over brunch soon turned into drinks at a hole-in-the wall bar listening to old country music. Once Holden found out that Gary Stewart was Taylor's favorite country singer, he knew she was the one. When the day came, Holden planned a special surprise proposal in Bryan, TX. However, Taylor was getting wined and dined that evening by a veterinary corporation at Casa do Brasil. Her friends were trying to get her to leave for the proposal, but Taylor would not stop saying yes to the endless amount of meat. As she was helping herself to food, Taylor proceeded to say, "this is the best night of my life!" Little did she know Holden was waiting to propose. Finally, her friends got her to leave. When they arrived at the house, Holden was down on one knee holding both of their dogs that were wearing "will you marry me?" bandanas. As Taylor opened the door, Holden accidentally let go of the dogs and they took off running out the house and into the neighborhood. After a few minutes they were caught, and Holden FINALLY got to propose.

The Ceremony

Holden and Taylor’s wedding date was 9/9/23. They initially chose this date because it was close to when they first met. They were also hoping that it would be a little cooler that day. Unfortunately, in Texas that was not the case. Holden and Taylor wanted the ceremony to be short, sweet, and to the point so the guests would not be uncomfortable. The short outdoor ceremony ended up being everything they had hoped for. Taylor's dog had come with the name "Lilac", which eventually became Taylor's favorite color. She wanted various shades of purple throughout the wedding with lilac being the main color. Taylor said, “It was absolutely beautiful, and the flower arrangements were PERFECT. It was everything we wanted and more!”

The Reception

“I may be biased, but our wedding reception was one for the books. As stated by one of our guests, "it was absolutely epic!" The wedding reception was so much fun, and everyone was on the dance floor at ALL times. It was so great to be able to celebrate with all our friends and family. It was definitely the best night of our lives!”

Why The Inn

The Inn at Quarry Ridge was our 3rd venue to tour. From the moment we stepped foot on the property we knew this venue was perfect for us. It was absolutely gorgeous and had all the amenities we needed. We loved that they had different package options, and we ultimately went with the marble package.

Advice From the Bride

Relax and have fun with it! Don't stress about the little things because it truly is so minuscule. No one will even notice or remember!

Favorite Moment

Our favorite moment from the wedding day was definitely the reception. Having all our friends and family together in one room, dancing, and having so much fun was amazing! We all danced till our feet hurt and bodies were sore! Our second favorite moment from the wedding day was our last dance. I highly recommend doing one! It was so beautiful and emotional; we loved every second of it!
