Let’s see, it was a long time ago in a galaxy far away. There I (Brian) was flying my hot rod space freighter in pursuit of a massive bounty for the Empire when… wait wrong story.

I had just gotten out of the Army, and returned to College Station Texas as a full time staff member with Transportation Services at Texas A&M, while I worked on my academics and graduate school admissions. Shortly after the move I attended a friends fourth of July party, and met Sarah a beautiful, exciting, and incredibly intelligent woman. Over the course of the night, and the next few weeks we hit it off texting, chatting, and hanging out. We were relatively shy about actually acknowledging our interest in each other, and it finally took a dear friend, who will remain nameless, to give us the kick in the pants we needed to start dating. The rest is history…

But seriously, after about two years of dating I knew I was ready to make things permanent. To ask Sarah to be the permanent companion to my Doctor Who, or the other way around… depends on who you ask. With the help of some good friends and some clever planning I connived a plan for our vacation to California. Our trip to Disneyland was both the most exhilarating, and stressful vacation I’d taken. Among the things that nearly went wrong were the ring shipping late, and Sarah nearly uncovering the plot. After our first day in the park I managed to slip away during dinner at Ariel’s grotto and speak with the amazing staff who were very excited to help me. The surprise for dessert was a plate with fruit and the words “will you marry me?” written in chocolate.  Naturally she said yes, and the rest… is the start of another tale… Sarah and Brian were married May 27, 2017 and are living happily ever after.
