A Love Rooted in Faith: Madison & Zach’s Romantic Celebration
How They Met & The Proposal
Madison and Zach’s love story began at Texas A&M, where their paths crossed through Bible studies, a shared student organization, and a close-knit community of mutual friends. Zach happened to be in a leadership quad with Madison’s sister, and the two also found themselves in the same Life Group church Bible study. It wasn’t long before their friendship grew deeper through long conversations, faith, and campus life. Fast forward to a warm July evening—July 2nd, to be exact—Zach planned a meaningful proposal just before Madison left for a family vacation. The couple returned to Lake Somerville, a place full of sweet memories from their early dates, where they had often walked, talked, and watched sunsets together. After grilling fajitas and soaking in the golden light, Zach got down on one knee during the sunset, creating a beautiful, full-circle moment in a place that already meant so much to them both.
The Ceremony
Madison and Zach envisioned a wedding day that was simple, intimate, and full of quiet beauty—and their ceremony captured exactly that. Set against the romantic backdrop of The Inn at Quarry Ridge, the outdoor ceremony space offered a natural charm that perfectly matched their vintage mauve, dusty blue, and maroon color palette. Floral touches and candlelight added just the right amount of classic elegance. The venue's peaceful setting, not far from College Station, made it convenient for loved ones to gather and made the day feel even more personal. Their ceremony was led by Joel, a deeply meaningful figure in both their lives—Zach’s mentor and the director of the BSM, the organization where their paths so often intertwined. Madison’s brother-in-law played guitar as the wedding party walked down the aisle and also read Scripture, making the moment all the more heartfelt. Surrounded by family, close friends, and the warm evening light, Madison and Zach exchanged vows in a setting that felt like home.
The Reception
The reception was filled with heartfelt tradition and joyful celebration. One of the most memorable moments was the Grand March—a lively and meaningful custom rooted in German and Czech culture, and a cherished tradition in Madison’s family. Each part of the march symbolizes a different aspect of marriage, making it both festive and deeply symbolic. Madison described the evening as “a sweet and intimate time to see family and friends celebrate together,” and it truly was just that. Surrounded by laughter, dancing, and the warmth of their loved ones, the newlyweds soaked in every moment. The night ended on a magical note with a grand bubble exit, sending Madison and Zach off with light, love, and plenty of joy.
Why The Inn
We liked the outdoor ceremony area, it was beautiful and romantic. We also wanted something close to College Station due to family and ease of travel. The reception area was simple yet wonderfully done. The main reason though was the outdoor area.
Advice From the Bride
It's easy to get lost in all the little details and cost of everything, but remember to be present and enjoy the day as much as possible. Remember what is important to you and prioritize that. Not everything will go according to plan, but it just gives you something to laugh about and remember later.
Favorite Moment
Bride: I loved the morning. My sisters (Meagan and Morgan), Mom, and bridesmaid/cousin Ella, all stayed together the night before to do last minute decorations. Then the next morning we went to the Kyle House and met up with some family and family friends. The other favorite moment was the Grand March. It was fun to have everyone involved and a part of something.
