How did you both meet and when/where did the proposal happen?

We first met through a mutual friend and then for a while, we were just pen pals. Then of course, things progressed over time. On a road trip in Hawaii, back is November of 2021, Skylar decided to propose!

Why did you choose the Inn at Quarry Ridge?

The venue itself was just stunning! We loved that our whole wedding party could stay at the house the whole weekend. The price included a lot! We really loved the nature on the property and it really wasn’t too far from town.

Tell us about your wedding ceremony!

We chose the outside option so we could have the ceremony at the gazebo. We shared long sappy vows against that beautiful gazebo and tree backdrop! Our vision for the wedding was to have a good time so we didn’t focus too much on a specific theme. We definitely accomplished our goal!

Tell us about your wedding reception!

Our reception was a dance extraordinaire! We had an open bar, a cape that got passed around to almost everyone, and pizza and tacos galore. We had the best time and got to share it all with our friends and family!

What advice do you have for brides planning their wedding?

Make as many decisions as possible BEFORE the weekend. Make an extremely detailed to do list and delegate jobs out to your family and friends well in advance. For example: Who is going to pick up ice and bring it to the venue? Who is going to pick up and return the linens? It’s easy jobs like this that people would be happy to do for you, and if you assign that well in advance, it’s zero stress and one less thing you have to think about. And you don’t have to overload only a few people on the actual weekend. Just divvy up the tasks and give them to your bridal party and everyone is happy to help!
